My husband was knocked off his bike this week, by someone opening their car door in his path.
He has a sore hand and a very wonky wheel... but thankfully is absolutely fine, otherwise.
The headteacher from our kids' school had her car mangled by a tree falling in high winds.
Thankfully, it was just a car... everyone's fine.
I glanced at the news this morning - not something I often do - and there are some awful and scary things going on in the world.
I can't do anything to influence them.
But in my world, I have this beautiful view of Bristol from a local park within 5 minutes' walk of the school drop off.
The sun is shining.
The birds are singing.
I have my coffee (thank goodness for coffee).
And I've achieved a few things I'm going to give myself credit for and feel hugely proud of this week in my life and business.
The thing is this.
When so many terrible things seem to be happening, it's easy to fall into feeling powerless, overwhelmed and afraid.
But that helps nothing and no-one... least of all you.
This is why it's SO important to pause and reflect on all aspects of your reality - and remember there's good stuff, too.
The little wins.
The moments you've come through.
The simple things that can lift your spirits, if you take the time to connect with them.
Friday is a great day to reflect (well, they all are!) - which is why, over in my mindset subscription The Living Journal®️, Friday is all about taking 10 minutes just to reflect and anchor yourself in the things that DO, genuinely, feel good.
And why every day is a powerful boost to that positivity muscle 💪🧠
If you want to share your good things with us today, you'd be very welcome to join us - there’s a completely FREE subscription available, and if you do decide to jump in to the paid version at any point it’s just £7 per month.
